El ejecutivo municipal está realizando la construcción del paso bajo nivel que conectará las avenidas Smith y Hernández en Ezpeleta.
La obra, que tiene un monto contractual de más de $ 82 millones,- permitirá el movimiento vehicular en ambos sentidos de circulación e impactará en la calidad y seguridad vial de los vecinos del lugar.
Desde la Secretaría de Desarrollo Urbano y Obras Públicas, destacaron el avance de los últimos meses y el buen ritmo de trabajo. A su vez, recordaron que la Av Centenario, entre Smith y República de Francia, permanecerá cerrada al tránsito hasta Marzo.
Durante Diciembre se realizó la primera capa de hormigonado en la rampa Oeste, sobre Av. Centenario y Bolivia, y se está ejecutando la ampliación de calle colectora a la rampa sobre Centenario. Se efectúo el poliducto faltante sobre el puente ferroviario ubicado en Hipólito Yrigoyen, que canaliza los conductos propios de la línea General Roca y continúan las obras de sumideros y cámaras pluviales, tanto por Centenario como por Hipólito Yrigoyen.
A través del Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación, en Quilmes se están construyendo tres pasos bajo nivel. El objetivo es seguir eliminando los cruces a nivel en toda la traza del Roca en beneficio de la conectividad, reducción de accidentes evitables y la mejora en la frecuencia del servicio ferroviario.
