El Tomba luchó más de lo que jugó. Fue bravo. Y se complicó solo. El segundo tiempo fue muy peleado y friccionado. Grave lo de Correa: pisó a un rival y el referí chileno Tobar obvió lo que sin dudas ameritaba expulsión. Aunque el referí no dejó pasar una patada descalificadora en tiempo de descuento de Angel González. Roja directa muy bien aplicada. Ambas actitudes, la de Correa y la de González, justifican plenamente un llamado de atención de Lucas Bernardi. Correa zafó, pero González pagará con suspensión su arrebato absurdo. Que pudo potenciarse en su gravedad porque en el último instante del partido Rey salvó un mano a mano con Sergio Aquino: puso la cara y rechazó lo que podía haber complicado mucho el pase a octavos.
Estas debilidades no son buena señal a futuro. En octavos se puede encontrar con un rival que sentencie ante estas ventajas. Aunque ahora el Tomba debe disfrutar su legítima clasificación, con el plus de dar un partido de ventaja. Casi un lujo.
