Leo Messi ha firmado un nuevo contrato con el FC Barcelona en el palco del Camp Nou junto al presidente Josep Maria Bartomeu hasta el 30 de junio de 2021. El crack azulgrana pasará a tener una cláusula de rescisión de 700 millones de euros.
El argentino ha rubricado un nuevo contrato, distinto al que su padre firmó con poderes a finales del pasado mes de junio y que contemplaba una cláusula de 300 millones de euros. En el nuevo documento se ha adecuado tanto la cláusula como el salario del jugador al mercado actual, de ahí que su libertad pase a costar ahora más del doble.
Sin embargo, el anterior contrato tenía absoluta validez a efectos legales. Lo que se mantiene inalterable es la duración del mismo, que concluirá en junio de 2021.
Leo ha estado acompañado en el acto de su padre Jorge y de su hermano mayor, Rodrigo. Por parte del FC Barcelona, además del propio presidente, también estaban el vicepresidente deportivo, Jordi Mestre; el directivo Javier Bordas; el mánager deportivo, Pep Segura, y el CEO, Òscar Grau.
